In a groundbreaking move to transform the way people get connected, HUTCH has unveiled its nationwide #GetHUTCHed QR Codes, showcasing unparalleled ingenuity and forward thinking in the digital era. The game-changing initiative allows Sri Lankans to effortlessly join the HUTCH network by simply scanning a QR code. Taking convenience to new heights, these QR codes have been strategically placed in key locations that are now propping up streets to bustling rail stations across the country.

 


 

The brilliance is in the simplicity. With just a quick scan, anyone can apply for a HUTCH connection through a simple digitized process. Be it an eSIM which can be downloaded to supporting phones in mere minutes, or a SIM card delivered straight to the doorstep, everyone has got an option.

In recent years, HUTCH has been pioneering digital first initiatives and is leading the growth in the mobile telecommunications industry. Since acquiring the Etisalat Lanka, and subsequent investment of over USD 125Mn in building out nationwide broadband infrastructure, HUTCH has propelled its network coverage to reach more than 95% of Sri Lanka’s population. This includes completing its 5G trial that recorded a mammoth download speed of over 1.8Gbps.
