First Capital Treasuries PLC Appoints Cilani Wijesinghe to Board of Directors

First Capital Treasuries PLC, a subsidiary of First Capital Holdings PLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cilani Wijesinghe as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective August 21, 2024.

 




 

Cilani Wijesinghe brings nearly two decades of experience in finance and investment management to the Board. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Verité Research, where she has played a key role in driving the organization’s growth by establishing robust operating systems, governance controls, and a strong team culture. She also has successfully managed multiple strategic projects with profitability targets at MAS Holdings – the country’s largest apparel manufacturer.

Cilani’s career reflects a passion for sustainable growth and operational success. She excels in negotiating client contracts, advising Boards on operational and financial performance, and evaluating investment opportunities. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from the University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom.

With this appointment, The Board of Directors of First Capital Treasuries comprises Manjula Mathews, Dilshan Wirasekara, Ramesh Schaffter, Minette Perera, Nishan de Mel, and Cilani Wijesinghe.
