February 9th2023; Colombo: EY Global Delivery Services (EY GDS) Sri Lanka — part of the global EY network of service delivery centers with a focus on innovation, technology and process improvement — joined hands with the Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) as the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor of Sri Lanka’s largest intelligent automation conference. The SLASSCOM Automation Conference 2022 was a two-day hybrid event that recently concluded at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.

The event themed “Digital Genesis — Reloaded 2022” was designed with a focus on how organizations can achieve sustainable automation through the use of intelligent automation (IA) and robotic process automation (RPA). This year’s event took on a larger, ambitious challenge to take Sri Lanka to the global stage by partnering with global automation.

The event’s theme and focus were delivered by an impressive line-up of EY GDS global leadership team members which included EY GDS Intelligent Automation Leader Nikhil Daxini (India) who spoke on the topic, “Make Business Automation Intelligent — A framework for RPA + AI + ML,” and EY GDS Digital and Emerging Technology Leader Prashanth Canagaghnanam (Sri Lanka) who shared his thoughts on, “Why do automations fail and how to prevent it”. Location Leader of EY GDS Consulting, Sri Lanka Joydeep Hazra shared current and future trends in the automation space, while EY GDS Consulting Intelligent Automation Lead Puneet Narang presented an insightful case study on, “How AI can automate the lending process.”
