Elephant House and Keells Krest will once again refresh the “Battle of the Golds” in 2018, having recently signed up as “Food, Beverage and Ice Cream Partner” for the 68th annual edition of this big match between St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa and Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa.
The “Battle of the Golds” big match will be fought out on March 9 and 10, at the De Soyza Stadium in Moratuwa, while a limited overs game, taking place for the 33rd year, will be played on March 11.
Elephant House and Keells Krest came forward as the “Food, Beverage and Ice Cream Partner” for the 68th annual “Battle of the Golds” as a result of their commitment to the cause of schools cricket in Sri Lanka, which saw them sponsoring a total of six big matches in 2017 alone.
Due to its commitment to the ‘goodness of life’, Elephant House is now venturing into an array of new segments with its perfect Lemoki, isotonic F5, and fruity FitO range of beverages. At the same time, Elephant House maintains its market leadership in ice cream with its trusted range of wholesome and creamy products including the premium Imorich and youthful Wonderbar and Wondercones. Keells Krest too continues to be well loved and highly trusted due to their high quality processed meats and snacks, which have differentiated these products from others due to their superior taste and convenience, along with their wholesome goodness.
“Partnering with the ‘Battle of the Golds’ once again in 2018, Elephant House and Keells Krest are pleased to play the important roles of tastemakers for this exciting big match. Not only are we proud to provide the food, drinks and ice cream that refreshes ‘Battle of the Golds’ competitors and spectators in particular, we are also fuelling the spirit of competition for big match fever in Moratuwa and across Sri Lanka,” commented Belindra Weerasinghe, Category Head – Elephant House Beverages / Vice President, John Keells Holdings (JKH).
