EDEX Expo 2025, Sri Lanka’s premier education and career fair, is set to inspire and empower youth from January 17-19 at BMICH, Colombo, and January 25-26 at the Kandy City Centre, Kandy.
Organized by the Royal College Union, this highly anticipated event brings together a host of opportunities in higher education, career development, training, and entrepreneurship, paving pathways to help Sri Lanka’s youth compete globally.
Celebrating its enduring legacy, EDEX Expo continues to serve as a springboard for students, professionals, and job seekers alike. “Our mission remains clear—to empower Sri Lankan youth to thrive in a globalized world. EDEX Expo has always been more than an exhibition; it’s a catalyst for dreams and opportunities,” said EDEX Chairman Mahinda Galagedara.
This year’s event is set to host over 100 educational institutions, 20 leading corporates, and two international pavilions showcasing opportunities from Canada, and Malaysia. Local universities will also present diverse pathways to higher education, enabling students to explore opportunities in countries such as New Zealand, China, the UK, the US, Australia and more.
Building on its history of social contribution, EDEX 365’s Nanaphana Initiative in December 2024 donated books worth LKR 4 million to 26 schools in the Buththala region, in partnership with Uva Wellassa University. This initiative underscores EDEX’s commitment to fostering opportunities for education and entrepreneurship, setting the tone for what is to come in 2025.

- Sithuwam Art Competitions: Now featuring an AI-assisted category, showcasing global trends in digital creativity under the guidance of the University of Visual and Performing Arts.
- Think Green Initiative: A sustainability-driven showcase of the innovative Urban Green Tower concept, promoting eco-consciousness among youth.
- Edutainment Zone: Interactive sessions blending fun and learning, including live portrait drawing, sculpture making, and STEM-based activities.
- Entrepreneurship Guidance: Tailored sessions to inspire future business leaders and equip them with the tools to innovate and succeed.
The EDEX Expo also introduces practical career development tools, including the Career Key psychometric test, offered through EDEX Careers. This test helps individuals identify career paths that align with their strengths and interests, ensuring fulfilling professional journeys. Attendees can further benefit from on-site interviews and immediate recruitment opportunities, facilitated by top Sri Lankan corporates across industries like IT, banking, media, and culinary arts.
The Colombo Expo will be officially inaugurated by the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, his excellency Andrew Patrick, who will grace the event as the Chief Guest, underscoring its international significance.
