DIMO facilitates Ettampitiya Safe Water Supply Project

2. Mechanical & Electrical scope of work

Industrial Engineering Team of DIMO facilitated the Ettampitiya safe Water supply project by executing the entire Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) scope of work for providing safe drinking water to the people living in Badulla district. This is one of the largest water supply projects facilitated by DIMO.

The ceremonial commissioning of the safe water supply project was held with the participation of His Excellency, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on 17th February 2020. Puhulpola Reservoir is the main source of water supply of this Rs 2.4 billion worth project which provides safe drinking water to over 3000 families in Badulla district who have been suffering from the shortage of safe drinking water for a long time. The project covers 12 Grama Niladari divisions including Ettampitiya, Uva, Mahawelagama, Neludanda, Dehiwinna and Hinnarangolla.

Company was also able to complete its scope of work in this project earlier than expected.
