DFCC Bank recently commemorated Poson Poya Day with Bhakthi Geetha and Dansal programmes in Colombo and Kandy. In Colombo, the event was held at DFCC Bank – Borella branch premises on 20 June 2024, while in Kandy, it was held on 21 June 2024 (Poson Poya Day) in front of the main Wahalkada of the Sri Dalada Maligawa. Keeping with the Bank’s focus on digital enablement, the events were livestreamed on DFCC Bank’s Facebook and YouTube channels. Large numbers of attendees were noted at both events and were treated to a warm reception from the Bank’s teams.
The Chairman of DFCC Bank, J Durairatnam, the CEO, Thimal Perera, and the Bank’s senior management team, special guests, and valued customers were present at the events, highlighting their significance. The DFCC Bhakthi Geetha Programme in Kandy was also graced by several important dignitaries, including Pradeep Nilanga Dela-Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Shanaka Bandaranayake – Basnayake Nilame of the Sri Natha Devalaya, Lalith U Gamage – Governor of the Central Province, Tikiri Kobbekaduwa – Former Governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province, Chandana Tennakoon – Kandy District Secretary, Mahinda Dissanayake – DIG of Police, Kandy region, Thusitha Wijayasena – Chairman of Kandy City Centre, and the Presidents of Kandy Trade Associations.
