DFCC Bank recently held its Annual Branch Managers’ Conference 2025 at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, bringing together its leadership team and branch managers from across the country. As the Bank celebrates 70 years of service to the nation, this milestone event was a call to action, reinforcing its commitment to becoming Sri Lanka’s most customer-centric organisation.

Held under the theme “Above and Beyond: Redefining a 70-Year Legacy,” the conference set the tone for the year ahead, outlining DFCC Bank’s vision to build a culture of service excellence and customer-centricity. A key highlight was the launch of the new Values and Service Blueprint, designed to drive digital transformation, enhance service quality and delivery, and strengthen customer relationships. Discussions focused on key growth areas, including Retail Banking, SME development, and sales execution, equipping branch managers with the tools and insights to lead this transformation from the ground up.

Reflecting on the event, Aasiri Iddamalgoda, Senior Vice President – Retail Banking & SME, stated:
“Our 70-year legacy is built on trust, but the future will be defined by how well we understand and serve our customers. This conference ensures that every branch, every manager, and every team member is aligned with our aspiration to become Sri Lanka’s most customer-centric organisation. It’s about going above and beyond—not just as a strategy, but as a culture.”

Keynote addresses by Chairman Jegan Durairatnam and Non-Executive Director Harin Wijeyeratne provided valuable perspectives on the evolving banking landscape, emerging opportunities, and the Bank’s long-term direction. A session on Service Excellence, led by renowned corporate trainer Dhammika Kalapuge, further underscored the importance of delivering meaningful customer interactions and exceptional service at every touchpoint.

An interactive panel discussion featured insights from Chairman Jegan Durairatnam, CEO Thimal Perera, Deputy CEO Shamindra Marcelline, and senior leadership, offering branch managers a platform to align their roles with the Bank’s broader strategic goals. The discussion reinforced the importance of leadership at every level, open communication, and collaboration in driving the Bank’s transformation.

The event also recognised and celebrated top-performing branches and regions, inspiring continued excellence across the network. The conference concluded with a fellowship dinner, fostering camaraderie and strengthening connections among the leadership team and branch managers.
