Sri Lanka’s iconic fashion retail store Cotton Collection has established a strategic partnership with Microsoft to further its digital transformation in retail, empower its associates islandwide and make shopping faster and easier for its customers.

“Our commitment to technology is centered around empowering associates to do their best work and creating incredibly convenient ways for customers to shop,” said Cotton Collection Founder, Niloufer Anverally. “We’re now a tech empowered company, and we’re excited about what this technology partnership will bring for our customers and associates. Whether it’s combined with the Azure cloud platform, or leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to work smarter, we believe Microsoft will be a strong partner in driving our ability to innovate even further and faster.”

The boutique retail company will look to increase workforce productivity and drive more efficient business processes. Beginning today, Office 365, the market-leading office productivity software suite, is now Cotton Collection’s preferred productivity and communications platform across the company’s portfolio.

Together, Cotton Collection and Microsoft will ensure individuals and teams can efficiently collaborate, communicate and drive decision-making across devices. In addition to product integrations, Cotton Collection will make Power BI and Dynamics its preferred business intelligence and enterprise resource planning platforms, respectively.

“Cotton Collection and Microsoft are working together to redefine what the modern enterprise experience looks like with collaboration, data and intelligence at the core,” said Hasitha Abeywardena, Country Manager for Microsoft Sri Lanka and Maldives. “Together we will develop integrated cloud services with best-in-class solutions like Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI and Office 365 that help businesses digitally transform while delivering great experiences to their customers.”

In addition to the partnership, the companies will explore opportunities to continue collaborating on artificial intelligence, analytics and intelligent document automation, taking productivity in the cloud to the next level.

“The integration of team collaboration, business intelligence and enterprise resource planning provides customers and employees with huge efficiency gains, and paves the way for how people will get work done in the future,” he added.

Microsoft is the leader in productivity software, with a rich heritage of innovating to deliver ubiquitous solutions that touch hundreds of millions of customers through integrated desktop tools, innovative mobile apps and cloud-based services.
