Sri Lanka’s premier construction trade show 7th Construction Expo 2018 had its inauguration ceremony today at BMICH Construction Expo 2018 is a trade show organized by Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd for the 7th consecutive year. LECS works to bring the industry together, create opportunities for local companies by bringing in foreign delegations.
The exhibition will be from the 29th June to the 01st July, 10 am to 8 pm at BMICH and open to the public. The trade show was inaugurated with close to 300 stalls with Chinese and Indian pavilions.
The ceremony was graced with the presence of the Minister of Industry & Commerce, honourable Rishad Bathiudeen. The event body also included Dr. Rohan Karunarathna the President of Ceylon Institute of Builders, Suren Kundanmal the Director / CEO of Elite Radio & Engineering Co. (Pvt) Ltd also platinum sponsor of the event, Capt. M.G Kularatne the Chairman & Managing Director of Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd and Aasim Mukthar the CEO of Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd.
The implementation and promotion of green building is the aim of the exhibition as Sri Lanka has been experiencing a boom in the construction industry.
The 7th Construction has been endorsed by Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development and the Construction Fraternity. Due to the events well established success, this year EEPC India will be the international endorser. And in order to promote economic and trade cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Liaoning region of China a 50-member high-profile delegation, led by the Business Department of Liaoning Province and Shenyang Zhongqiao International Exhibition Co. Ltd, attended the event. A group of large enterprises in the subordinate seven cities from the Liaoning Province will be showcasing and displaying all construction products and services.
