Industry’s first AI-powered digital marketing campaign achieves spectacular results, engaging with millions of young Sri Lankans to motivate saving
A ground-breaking digital marketing campaign powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI) to promote the Vibe Youth Account of the Commercial Bank of Ceylon has won the ‘Youth Campaign of the Year’ award at the 2023 New Generation Awards of Women in Management (WIM) and the National Youth Services Council.
The stimulating ‘Tomorrow is Yours’ campaign by Vibe sought to reignite the passion young people had for their lives and the future, by using AI to show them that the possibilities are endless. With the help of AI, the campaign enabled them to not only develop a visual of themselves living their dream, but also provided them guidance on what they could do to achieve those dreams.
Hosted on a microsite www.yourvibe.lk and promoted on Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads, the websites of several media organisations, and a group of popular social media influencers, the ‘Tomorrow is Yours’ campaign helped create more than 5,000 dream futures, engaged with 88% of the participating youth audience more than four times over three months, generated 6,000 plus leads, and resulted in a significant growth in the number of Vibe Youth Accounts during the campaign period, the Bank said. The campaign also achieved impressive results on Meta.
Launched in 2020, Commercial Bank’s Vibe Youth Account is designed exclusively to support the youth at one of the most decisive phases of life with special benefits that can help advance their aspirations, and also rewards account holders’sports achievements.
A Vibe Youth Account can be opened by any Sri Lankan between the ages of 18-35 years with a minimum deposit of Rs 1,000, and offers an interest rate that is 0.5% p.a. higher than regular savings accounts, provides employed youth Personal Loans, Leasing and Home Loans at preferential interest rates, and offers loans to 90% on the available account balances.
Vibe Account holders are also entitled to Educational Loans and this facility is available to employed or self-employed professionals and non-employed youth. Laptop and Computer loans too can be applied for under the Personal Loans category, up to a value of Rs 175,000 or more if necessary, after evaluation of requirements.
Vibe account holders are provided with e-passbook and e-statement facilities free of charge along with Online Banking free of joining fee and the annual fee for the first year. A Debit Card is also available to these account holders with special Debit Card offers tailor-made for the segment.
A reward of 10,000 Commercial Bank Max Loyalty Rewards Points with a redemption value of Rs 10,000 awaits any Vibe Savings Account holder who is placed first at a national level sports event or represents a national sports team at an international tournament recognised by the Ministry of Sports or the International Olympic Committee.These points can be redeemed when making online purchases including air tickets, hotel packages, car rentals and a wide range of electronic, electrical, lifestyle, household and gift items.
