Commercial Bank’s UnionPay cardholders are in for an exclusive treat – a banqueting experience at Colombo’s newest dining sensation, the revolving restaurant at the Lotus Tower.

This special reward is part of a promotion by the Bank for Credit and Debit Card holders of UnionPay, the leading global card payment network.

Any ComBank UnionPay cardholder who spends a minimum of Rs 50,000 per month in December 2023 and January and February 2024 will be among those eligible for selection for this exclusive reward, described by the Bank as “the pinnacle of dining and sophistication.” The event promises an unforgettable experience for the selected cardholders and their chosen companions at the end of the three-month promotion, the Bank said.

“We are delighted to partner with UnionPay to conduct a promotion of this nature, which matches the profile of these cardholders,” the Head of Commercial Bank’s Card Centre Mr Nishantha De Silva said. “As the first issuer of UnionPay cards in Sri Lanka, Commercial Bank and UnionPay have a special relationship and have achieved many firsts together in the market.”

Director of UnionPay International South Asia Mr Hu Binghan added: “With Commercial Bank’s efforts to facilitate usage of our cards in Sri Lanka by enabling point-of-sale terminal and QR code payment acceptance, we have witnessed good growth of the cardholder base. A promotion of this nature which promotes engagement with the cardholders on an emotional as well as physical level, is timely.”
