Coca-Cola’s Commitment to a Cleaner Sri Lanka

On 9th February 2025, Clean Sri Lanka Project: A Beautiful Coastal Line – An Attractive Tourism Destination, organized by the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) was launched at Crow Island, Mattakkuliya. This landmark initiative, which aligns with MEPA’s ongoing efforts to tackle marine pollution, brought together passionate individuals and organizations, dedicated to safeguarding Sri Lanka’s precious coastline.

The event, graced by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya as Chief Guest, marked the beginning of a large-scale beach-cleaning initiative spanning 124 locations across the Western and Southern Provinces. A special focus was placed on the Coca-Cola adopted beach at Crow Island, initiated 4 years ago to clean Crow Island beach daily in collaboration with Clean Ocean Force and recognized the Coca-Cola system’s long-term commitment to sustainability. By maintaining cleaner beaches, Sri Lanka enhances its appeal as a global travel destination while ensuring that marine life thrives in a pollution-free environment.
