ayubo.life – a mobile app that makes living healthy easy, affordable & fun to ‘create healthier nations’ announces the appointment of Chandima Cooray as its Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth and innovation.

Together with other two co-founders, Dr. Chamila Ariyananda, Subash Balendran and backed by a strong team, the trio believes in creating healthier communities in Sri Lanka and the surrounding region.

Chandima Cooray is a co-founder of ayubo.life and worked as the strategist for ayubo.life from inception. He now takes charge of the business as CEO with the aim to sharpen its focus and deliver more value to consumers and partners.




 

Chandima Cooray was the Chief Digital Officer for Hemas Holdings PLC until he stepped out to take charge of ayubo.life. During his career at Hemas Holdings PLC for last 8 years, he has provided leadership to IT, Shared Services, and Innovation & Digital teams across the Hemas Group. He managed the startup incubation program of Hemas Holdings PLC which supports many startups in healthtech space.

Before joining Hemas group, Chandima was the CEO of Sabre Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. (Sabretech), a technology product and services company and a subsidiary of MAS Holding (Pvt) Ltd. with operation in Sri Lanka, USA and UK. Sabretech operated in the cutting edge of technology bringing RFID based real time production monitoring to apparel industry and NFC based loyalty solutions with both products winning local and global recognition and awards. Sabretech supported many tech startups in USA & UK to bring their ideas to realization. He was instrumental in setting up TradeCard Services (Pvt) Ltd., Sri Lanka as a joint venture between Sabretech and TradeCard Inc., USA, (acquired by Infor) which today employees more than 150 IT professionals as Infor Sri Lanka.

ayubo.life is Sri Lanka’s leading lifestyle, health and wellness app, providing a comprehensive platform for everyone pursuing a healthy lifestyle. The app connects to multiple healthcare services, stores family medical records, facilitates on-demand consultations with doctors on video, and keeps a record of workouts and partners with experts in the wellness industry to provide online wellness solutions. The app is owned and operated by Digital Healthcare Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.
