More gold, anyone? was the refrain when life insurance leader Ceylinco Life conducted the fourth bi-monthly draw of the on-going ‘Family Savari’ promotion to select the latest batch of policyholders to be rewarded with Rs 5 million in gold.
One lucky Ceylinco Life policyholder from Negombo won the jackpot of Rs 1 million at this draw, while policyholders from Trincomalee and Elpitiya each won gold to the value of Rs 250,000. Winners of Rs 100,000 each gold included policyholders from Kadawatha, Moneragala, Ambalangoda and Kurunegala. Among the winners of gold to the values of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 were policyholders from Nelliady, Tissamaharama, Bandarawela and Kirindiwela.
Two more draws are to be conducted this year, culminating in a total of 618 Ceylinco Life policyholders winning Rs 30 million in gold via the Family Savari 2021 promotion. The decision to present policyholders with gold instead of the customary overseas holidays and local excursions was on account of the travel restrictions and safety precautions necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
