Ceylinco Life sends two DGMs for training at USA’s New York Life

Ceylinco Life recently sent two Deputy General Managers, one from Bancassurance and the other from Business Development for training at New York Life, the life insurance company with the largest market share in the USA.

Messrs Manjula Thenuwara and Wasantha Wijesinghe participated in a 10-day training programme covering human resource management models of New York Life relating to recruitment, selection, training and retention as well as the American life insurance leader’s event marketing strategies that lead to increase in sales. The two Deputy General Managers also shared Ceylinco Life’s best practices in business development with fellow participants in the programme.

New York Life managers an agent force of 12,000 and boasts of the highest Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) representation in the USA for the past 62 years. The company maintains 95 per cent persistency in new business and is focussed on creatively employing social media for the purposes of business development and recruitment.
