Ceylinco Life presents more medical equipment to company-donated HDU at Jaffna Hospital

Donation to Jaffna HDU (LBN)

 



 

 

Ceylinco Life recently revisited a Paediatric High Dependency Unit (HDU) the Company had donated to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital in 2013, to present new medical equipment needed to treat children with respiratory difficulties and those afflicted with Dengue fever. Ceylinco Life donated Optiflow Nasal Oxygen Therapy equipment and two infusion pumps costing more than Rs 2.1 million to the HDU located at the Paediatric Ward of the hospital, as part of the Company’s commitment to maintain the HDU.

According to the hospital, the HDU has been operating at full occupancy in the recent past.  It has treated more than 5,000 patients since was commissioned in 2013, and 551 patients were admitted in 2022.

In the picture, Ceylinco Life’s Assistant General Manager – Business Development Mr K. Sumanthiran and Senior Manager – Business Development Mr T. Nirojan present the equipment to Prof. Githanjali Sathiadas – Chair Professor of Pediatrics at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital in the presence of Ceylinco Life’s heads of branches in the Jaffna region.
