Colombo, May 23, 2022 – Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) stood unbeaten at the league championship of the MCA Super Premier Tournament 2022, concluded recently. CDB is heads above the competition at the completion of the 15-match league stage with 21 points, with the closest competitors trailing behind with 13.5 and 13 points respectively.
CDB cruised against Hatton National Bank in style as it finished the match with half the allocated overs to spare, and comfortably won the bouts against Mode Engineering, John Keells Holdings and Sampath Bank. Dhanushaka Dharmasiri was the Top Scorer for Team CDB with 121 runs, whilst the Top Wicket Taker was Lakshitha Manasinghe, claiming 7wickets in the league.
The unbeaten team dominating the league consisted of Lahiru Madushanka (Captain), Lahiru Udara (Vice Captain), Sithara Gimhana, Hasitha Perera, Angelo Perera, Dhanushka Dharmasiri, Muditha Lakshan, Savin Gunasekara, Tharindu Rathnayake, Rohan Sanjaya, Keshan Wijerathne, Lakshitha Manasinghe, Wanidu Hasaranga, Charith Asalanka, Chathuranga Dilshan, Pathum Nissanka, Kamindu Mendis, Sachindu Colombage, Asitha Fernando, Tehan Schaffter, Thevindu Senarathne and Sachintha Pieris.
