4 April 2022, London, UK: D&AD, the non-profit association for the design and advertising industries, has partnered with WeTransfer to launch Creativity as a Catalyst for Change, a free, on-demand course aimed at mid-level to senior creatives. While creativity for good is a personal and business imperative for many, the course will explore how creatives can turn this awareness and intention into action. The masterclass will build creative confidence to bring world-changing ideas to life, from concept to creation. The course will be led by a group of creative change-makers, all working towards a more sustainable future in their chosen fields, including Naresh Ramchandani, Pentagram Partner and former D&AD President, Lina Ruiz, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at WeTransfer, and Thomas Kolster, Founder & Creative Director at Goodvertising Agency and D&AD Awards Jury President for Impact and Future Impact. Split across 3 modules, the course will break down the complex landscape of using creativity for good and how to establish personal views and match these with the realities of the commercial creative industries. The Masterclass will explore: * The process of embedding purpose into a brief, and how to work with clients to achieve this * The process for using creativity for impact, how to plan for impact and create work in a sustainable way * How to measure success and create a legacy through impactful initiatives Across the course, participants will hear from creatives behind impactful campaigns, including the D&AD Black Pencil winning initiative Boards of Change and Rivers of Light, and uncover how the creators sought to understand the audience and employ creative solutions. The on-demand course is now live and can be accessed via D&AD’s digital campus [2]. As per D&AD’s commitment to removing obstacles to learning, the free masterclass will enable participants to learn at their own pace and remain on the site for an unlimited period. D&AD Campus is D&AD’s online learning portal which enables creatives from emerging talent to seasoned professionals to learn from award-winning industry creatives, on-demand and at a pace that can be controlled. With a mix of theory and practice, the platform provides the tools and techniques for creatives to apply at work and to continue to develop new skills. Rebecca Wright, D&AD President, commented: “As we experience rapid social, economic and cultural shifts, now more than ever creatives have an opportunity to use their skills and expertise to drive impactful change. We are delighted to have partnered with WeTransfer to bring this course to creatives of different levels across the globe via our digital campus to give them the tools and confidence they need to turn their ideas and ambitions into action.” Lina Ruiz, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at WeTransfer, commented: “Since the very beginning, WeTransfer has proudly supported the creative community, and as a certified B Corp we strive to balance people, planet, and profit, ensuring a better future for everyone. Our […]
