Calcey Technologies today announced that it had recorded its best performance ever as a company in the twelve months ending in December 2021. The company recorded a revenue growth of 32% and grew its headcount by nearly 35%. With this achievement, Calcey joins a select group of Sri Lankan IT and software services companies who have grown steadily despite the turbulent business environment that prevailed during the last 18 months. By leveraging on its expertise in the ecommerce, retail, health, nutrition, sports, enterprise SaaS, and fintech sectors, Calcey was not only able to strengthen relationships with existing clients, but also acquire new clients and make inroads into new and emerging niches.
“The pandemic was a black swan event in every way. It pushed everyone on to the back foot, and even the best laid plans went to waste. But I’m really proud of our team, for they’ve displayed exemplary clarity of thought and discipline in decision making at all times. Ultimately, that is what enabled us to remain on our growth path and emerge stronger. Our revenue for the year 2021 is the highest in our history,” remarked Mangala Karunaratne, Founder and CEO of Calcey Technologies.
“This year and the previous have been challenging, no doubt. But the trust placed in us by our clients and employees proved to be the ultimate pillar of strength. Bigger and better things are in the works for the coming year too,” said Gehan Dias, General Manager of Calcey Technologies.
Recognised as a delivery capable software product development services provider by Gartner, Calcey Technologies counts among its clients respected names such as Paypal, Compare Networks, Stanford University, and the Wikimedia Foundation.
