18th July 2024: Building on an inspiring legacy that has transformed the accounting landscape since 1959, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) unveiled a special logo on 18th July 2024, in celebration of its 65th anniversary this year. The logo symbolizes CA Sri Lanka’s rich heritage and unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
The new logo was unveiled at a press conference graced by Mr. Heshana Kuruppu, President of CA Sri Lanka, Mr. Tishan Subasinghe, Vice President of CA Sri Lanka, Members of the Council, past presidents, members, and other stakeholders.
The logo represents CA Sri Lanka’s core values of collaboration, excellence, nurturing, and integrity, while highlighting its achievements over the past 65 years and its aspirations for the future.
In his speech Mr. Kuruppu spoke of how the new 65th anniversary logo unveiled today symbolized the institute’s rich history, unwavering dedication to excellence, and innovative spirit.
He also spoke of CA Sri Lanka’s remarkable journey and enduring commitment to these values that have brought them to where they are today, thanks to the dedication and vision of their founding fathers, past presidents and council members, who have continuously strived to uphold these values and have worked towards ensuring CA Sri Lanka stands tall in the world of accounting.
Mr. Subasinghe in his speech spoke of the lineup of celebratory events organized for the 65th anniversary. Speaking on the 65th anniversary logo he stated that the logo speaks of the enduring efforts CA Sri Lanka has made through the years to lead the accountancy profession, the guidance they have given to sustain it and the encouragement they give the profession to thrive amidst evolving challenges.
Founded in 1959 by an Act of Parliament, CA Sri Lanka is recognized as the National Body of Accountants in the country. In an inspiring legacy spanning 65 long years, the Institute has significantly contributed to transforming the national accounting landscape while also acting as a catalyst for regional and international advancements in the accounting and finance spheres.
