The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently awarded a scholarship to the Interact District 3220 newly elected district interact representative Miss. Wiranya Divitotawela.
The scholarship was awarded by CA Sri Lanka President Mr. Jagath Perera in the presence of Chairman of the Media & Communication Committee Mr. Laknath Peiris at the Interact District 3220 Conference 2019, which was held at Temple Trees.
CA Sri Lanka was the official educational partner at the event, which brought together around 1000 students between the ages of 16 to 20 years from Colombo, Kandy, Kurunegala, Galle and Jaffna who are Interactors and Rotarians.
As a leading professional body, CA Sri Lanka has been at the forefront in supporting numerous educational initiatives in an effort to help educate students on the importance of acquiring a recognised and relevant qualification in the field of accounting. As the official educational partner of the Interact District 3220 Conference 2019, officials of CA Sri Lanka explained to the Interactors and Rotarians the importance and relevance of the CA Sri Lanka qualification in Chartered Accounting.
They also highlighted the role Chartered Accountants play for an organisation by adding value, and also helping the business sustain on the longer run despite increasing competition. The important role played by CAs has also led to the continuous demand for CA Sri Lanka Members locally and globally, due to their ability to steer any business successfully. The CA Sri Lanka membership comprise of Chairmen, Partners, Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, CEOs and CFOs.
