Marking a historic milestone, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) celebrated its 65th anniversary with the launch of a Commemorative First Day Stamp Cover on 02nd January 2025.
The first copies of the stamp cover were presented to CA Sri Lanka’s President Mr. Heshana Kuruppu, Vice President Mr. Tishan Subasinghe, three veteran members, and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Lakmali Priyangika, by the Director of the Philatelic Bureau Mr. L. G. N. De Silva, in the presence of Members of the Council, Past Presidents, and Senior Publicity Officer of the Philatelic Bureau Mr. C. N. Munasinghe.
This occasion highlights CA Sri Lanka’s influential role in elevating professional standards and strengthening Sri Lanka’s financial landscape since its incorporation under an Act of Parliament in 1959. The commemorative stamp cover serves as a tribute to the institute’s enduring legacy as the national body of accountants and as the foremost professional accounting body in the country.
