BWF Level 1 Coach Education Programme begins

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) accredited Level 1 Coach Education Programme, conducted by Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) Coaches Development Committee, is now underway at the SLB Headquarters. The programme kicked off in the presence of Coaches Development Committee Chairman Buddhika de Silva, under the patronage of SLB President Rohan De Silva while several SLB officials were also attended.

The Coach Education Programme is conducted by qualified BWF-certified coach Pavitra Abeysiriwardena. A total of 16 coaches are included in the first batch of the programme. SLB has planned to implement two such programs in near future under the approval of  BWF.

The participants of the inaugural programme are, E.Wasana Maltharika, W.M.A.P. Fernando, K.H. Dissanayake, U. Erandi Jayawardena, Bhagya Deemanthi Silva, T.H. Roshan Padmakumara, A. A. C. R. G. Amugodaarachchi, A.P. Harindu Udayanga, Iresh Maduranga de Silva, D.N.S.S. Gunawardena, I.S.D.Siriwardena, H.Y.R.Perera, H.M.Lasanta Thilakawardena, M.D.S.Lakranga, W.A.Anushaka Lakshan and A.C.Mathararachchi
