For thousands, travelling home for Avurudu isn’t just about the destination—it’s about reuniting with family, reviving traditions, and sharing time with loved ones. Understanding how precious these moments are, Allianz launched Allianz Avurudu Nagam, a thoughtful initiative to support commuters traveling from Colombo Fort to Peradeniya or Kandy. Through this campaign, passengers were given the opportunity to claim a refund on their train tickets. A simple act, designed to make their journey home just a little easier.
Each passenger also received a pack of traditional oil cakes – a simple yet thoughtful gesture to carry the spirit of Avurudu with them. These additions were designed to bring a sense of warmth and celebration to their Avurudu Food table at home.
At Colombo Fort Railway Station, Allianz also hosted a festive ground activation. Here, travellers had the chance to take part in seasonal giveaways, winning small gifts they could take home to loved ones – particularly children eagerly awaiting Avurudu surprises.
