Leading Sri Lankan freight forwarding solutions provider with a global footprint, CL Synergy, has announced that the Company will be the official sponsor of the “February Monthly Medal Tournament” of the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The tournament will be held under the theme, “Beyond the Green”, a nod to CL Synergy’s own tagline, “Beyond Boundaries”. Scheduled for the 25th and 26th of February 2022, the tournament will take place at the Royal Colombo Golf Course and is expected to be attended by the crème de la crème of Colombo society and golf enthusiasts. The tournament will see 18 medals on offer across a range of divisions including Seniors, Masters and Ladies, along with plenty of fun golf events and activities including “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive”, with valuable prizes awaiting the winners of these medals and events.

Announcing the sponsorship, Roshan Silva – Managing Director at CL Synergy said, “We are excited to partner with the Royal Colombo Golf Club and we believe that this sponsorship will enable us to further our interest in the sport, while also providing an excellent networking opportunity, as this tournament is expected to attract many high-net-worth individuals and investors with whom we share a passion for golf. This will be highly beneficial to all parties, as we prepare to go for an IPO and listing on the Colombo Stock Exchange in the near future. As a sponsor of this event, we are committed to making this event a success by putting in great effort, paying attention to detail, planning and meeting timelines.”

Mr. Silva, revealing his own passion for golf, further added, “We are pretty big on golf here at CL Synergy and I, myself, am a huge fan and avid player. In order to create more awareness and inculcate enthusiasm about the golf tournament, we are organising an inter-division Fun Golf Putting Tournament at the RCGC leading up to the Monthly Medal. This will give everyone an opportunity to experience first-hand what it is like, Beyond the Green. Thus, we look forward to meeting some amazing people and playing a few exciting rounds of golf very soon.”

A special cocktail event has also been planned as part of the tournament, for players and invitees, and will take place on the 26th of February 2022 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. A lady’s tournament will also be played as part of the February Monthly Medal Tournament. This will be a special highlight this time around as a lady’s tournament is usually not part of the Monthly Medal Tournament line up. Each of the 18 Medal Winners will also receive valuable prizes and gifts courtesy of CL Synergy for this edition of the tournament. A number of other fun events and activities are also planned around the February Monthly Medal Tournament, as part of CL Synergy’s sponsorship of the event.
