BCS successfully concludes judging process of National ICT Awards – NBQSA 2022

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka Section announces that the judging process of National ICT Awards – NBQSA 2022 has been successfully concluded with the participation of an eminent panel of judges. After nearly a month of in-depth reviewing of applications, the panel of judges have selected the best entries with highly impactful ICT innovations. With the judging process completed, NBQSA 2022 will move forward to the grand Awards ceremony, which is to be held on 4th November 2022.

Mr. Vajeendra S Kandegamage, Chairman of BCS Sri Lanka Section stated, ‘’NBQSA is one of the first-born awards events in Sri Lanka dedicated for the ICT sector. Since this is a premier national ICT awards event, we always meant to set high standards in all our processes. We are indeed happy of the way the judging process was concluded and expect a glorious awards ceremony.”

Mr. Sanharsha Jayatissa, Chairman, National ICT Awards shared his thoughts on the progress of the awards event, “We are happy to say that this year’s NBQSA Awards has moved forward smoothly and successfully come a long way with the colossal support from the organizing committee. Special credit should be given to the expert panel of judges who gave their utmost support throughout the judging process. They have shouldered an immense responsibility and worked tirelessly to select the best entries.”

Mrs. Mihiri Dissanayake, Co-chairman – NBQSA 2022 added, “NBQSA is a platform that helps individuals and groups in the ICT field to gain recognition for their ICT innovations. As the country is going through severe challenges, it is vital that we encourage innovations, especially in the ICT sector with its high potential to generate job opportunities, etc. We are geared for that purpose as a team and we want the ICT sector to take maximum advantage from this awards event.”

Mr. M.G. Tillekeratne, Head Judge – NBQSA 2022 / Executive Committee Member  – BCS Sri Lanka stated, ‘’This year, we have received a large number of applications out of which we had to select the best. There was steep competition due to the high number of applications. We have ensured 100% transparency throughout the judging process and extended our fullest support to make this awards event a success.’’

BCS has launched the official website of the National ICT Awards – NBQSA 2022, www.nbqsa.org, which is used as the platform to provide new updates, announcements and more details about the Awards ceremony.
