An exchange of views with IT experts and entrepreneurs of Nawabganj and Dohar Upazilas as well as a program on the inauguration of connectivity in 22 unions of Nawabganj and Dohar Upazilas of Dhaka District under Info Sarkar-3 project of the ICT Division was held at the Wasef Auditorium of Nawabganj Upazila on Saturday, 9 October 2021.

Honorable Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Affairs Adviser Mr. Salman F Rahman was present as the Chief Guest at the program. The Hon’ble State Minister for ICT Division of Bangladesh Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present at the event as the guest of honor. The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Dhaka Md. Shahidul Islam presided over the program where the Managing Director (additional secretary) of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh was present as the special guest.

“Bangladesh is reaping the benefits of the Prime Minister’s honesty, courage and foresight,” said Honorable Adviser Mr. Salman F Rahman. “Everyone is asking a question about how your prime minister is taking the country to this stage. No one wants to believe it. Now, every sector has improved, ” he said. Honorable Adviser added that when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to power in 2009, the per capita income was only 450 dollars. Later, after 11 years, this income has come to 2227 dollars. He further said that “This trend of development should be continued. For this, every citizen of the country has to work hard like the Prime Minister. Everyone’s dedicated work will make the country a more developed country.”

The Hon’ble State Minister for ICT Division of Bangladesh Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “Every house in Nawabganj is lit up with electricity today, freelancers want high-speed internet, teachers want more computer labs. Our people’s representatives demand that they want a high-tech park and Sheikh Kamal IT Incubation Center to attract more investment in modern technology. But 12 years ago, the people of this area demanded electricity connection, road repairs and paving of unpaved roads. These demands have been met by the Prime Minister, but new demands are being raised today for a better life.’

“Why the murderers of Bangabandhu have exploited in the name of the rule for 21 years after 75 years”; Criticizing them, the state minister said, “Why the development was unseen on their time and now it has. What “Magic” public leader Sheikh Hasina has that she was able to turn a poor country into a Digital Bangladesh. The first reason is the honesty of the Prime Minister, the second is courage and the third is his foresight. He is honest, brave and far-sighted because Bangladesh has come so far in such a fast time.”

Stating that there has been a huge development in Dohar, the state minister said, “It seems to me that I have come here to another area of Dhaka.” There is no difference between Dhaka’s Gulshan-Banani and Nawabganj’s markets and shopping malls. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has bridged the gap between this city and the village. In last 12 years, Sheikh Hasina has transformed from a poor state to a dignified middle-income state.’

Finally, the Honorable Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Affairs Honorable Adviser Mr. Salman F Rahman inaugurated connectivity in 22 unions in Nawabganj and Dohar Upazilas under the Info Sarkar-3 project of the ICT Division.
