Bangadeniya MV recieves Air Badminton equipment

The Regional Development Committee (RDC) of Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) donated Air Badminton equipment to an aspiring school in badminton, Bagadeniya Maha Vidyalaya, as part of its programme to popularize the sport throughout the island. The programme conducted by the RDC, was held at the Bangadeniya MV premises in the Arachchikattuwa Divisional Secretariat of Puttalam District.
 



 
Bangadeniya MV, which consist of up and coming shuttlers from the region of Puttalam, has been earmarked as a potential institution that could produce national level athletes, in particularly in Air Badminton, an evolving version of the popular shuttle sport. As part of its constant development projects, Bangadeniya MV shuttlers were presented with Air Badminton racquets and shuttlecocks with the intention of helping further develop the skills of players of the school. The equipment were distributed under the auspicious of the RDC Chairman, Mr. Roshan Gunawardene, at the school premises following a training programme.

Mr. Prasad Rathnayake, the Puttalam District Secretariat, the Principal of Bangadeniya MV, the members of the school academic staff, students and parents were alsopresent at the occasion of distributing the Air Badminton equipment.
