House of Youth Dialogue – HYD (a social youth organization) organizes
3 days long student conference Bangabandhu Model United Nations from 25
to 27th March 2022 at Krishibid Institution Complex, Dhaka with 400
students from 75 renowned academic institutions in Bangladesh. The
conference is held in partnership with Diplomats Publication, the only
Diplomatic Magazine in Bangladesh. At these three days long conference,
students acts as country heads in mock UN General Assembly on the agenda
of Water Crises around the World. They also tried to propose solutions
on the existing water problems of Bangladesh. 50 students have been
awarded in the closing ceremony of the conference. The theme of the
conference is “Save Water, Save Bangladesh.” The conference also
held sessions with the students on the leadership, diplomatic skills,
bilateral relationship and foreign policy used by the Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman during his regime.

The closing ceremony of the conference is held at Evening 27th March
2022 in Dhaka Radisson Blu Hotel. The Chief Guest of the Closing
Ceremony is Mr. Abul Hasan Chowdhury, Former State Minister of Foreign
Affairs, and Special Guest is His Excellency Haji Haris Bin Haji Othman,
High Commissioner of Brunei in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Closing ceremony
of the conference is presided by Hamim Islam, President of House of
Youth Dialogue. Guests of Honor in the Closing Ceremony are Mr. Nazinur
Rahim Executive Editor of Diplomats Publication, Dr. Mohammed Farooque
Director of Global Islami Bank, Abu Sadeq Director of FBCCI, AKM Sayedad
Hossain Assistant Editor Diplomats Publication.

Chief Guest Former State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abul Hasan
Chowdhury, talked about the importance of Water Crisis and Climate
Change for the country. He also added, Bangabandhu’s contribution on
the Foreign Policy of Bangladesh is significant in the history of
Bangladesh, and informing youth about his foreign policy is a vital step
to bring youth of the country closer towards the leadership and
diplomatic skills of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Special Guest His Excellency Haji Haris Bin Haji Othman, High
Commissioner of Brunei in Dhaka, Bangladesh, talked about the importance
of the global community to act together in water crises to combat
climate change. He also encourages House of Youth Dialogue to further
enhance the practice of International Relations and Diplomacy knowledge
on the youth of Bangladesh, to make them global leaders of the future.
The program is concluded by the presidential speech of Hamim Islam,
President of House of Youth Dialogue.
