In a heartfelt celebration of the extraordinary dedication and resilience of Sri Lanka’s teachers, Atlas Axillia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, hosted the prestigious Guru Garu Teacher Appreciation Programme on October 10, 2024, at the Waters Edge Hotel. The annual event pays tribute to educators who shape the future of the nation, recognising their invaluable contribution to the educational landscape, particularly during challenging times.

 



 

The event, attended by 250 teachers from across the country, was graced by the distinguished presence of Nirupa Manage, Senior Additional Secretary of Education, Western Province; Mr. P. R. Devabandu, Additional Director of Education, Western Province; Mrs. Nayani Perera, Additional Provincial Director of Education, Western Province; Ms. Vishaka Abeyaratne, Personal Secretary to the Minister of Education; Their attendance highlighted the importance of honouring the teaching profession and acknowledging teachers as essential pillars in nurturing the nation’s next generation.
