At the Press Conference after the Meeting with the Officials of the Ministry of Industry: Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan

Adilur Rahman Khan, advisor assigned to the Ministry of Industry, said, we will have zero tolerance against corruption. He said these things Saturday on 10 August 2024 in a Press Conference after a Meeting with the Officials of the Ministry of Industry in Motijheel, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 




 

Journalists asked various questions to the industrial adviser in the press conference. They said that corruption and irregularities of the Ministry of Industry are heard at various times, there are allegations of taking bills without doing work.

Adilur Rahman Khan said, I will try to work as much as possible in the short time that I have brought the mandate of the students in the mass movement. There is no question of corruption here. We will have zero tolerance for corruption. Our team will be alert to any question of unfairness that comes up. It is our responsibility to make the future different.

In response to a question from the journalists that he would give priority to work as an industrial adviser, the industrial adviser said that there are some problems with gas, there are also some issues in small industries, in addition to some environmentally friendly works, such as Savar leather processing industry and ship industry sector to be more environmentally friendly. Will work to go. We will sit down every day and do whatever it takes to move things forward.

Adviser of the Ministry of Industry said that the fertilizer production will be given priority by supplying sufficient gas to the fertilizer factory. We have discussed this matter. We will work as far as possible. We have prioritized industrial production to address the gas problem. And doing these things will reduce the amount of losses of the Ministry of Industry.

He said, work will be done to activate the loss-making institutions of the Ministry of Industry. If these initiatives are implemented, it is expected that the losses will come down.

Ministry Secretary Zakia Sultana, additional secretaries and senior officials of the ministry were present in the meeting.

Prior to this, Adilur Rahman Khan, the advisor assigned to the Ministry of Industry, was welcomed by the senior officials including the secretary of the ministry when he reached his office in Motijheel, Dhaka.
