Arpona Rani Rajbongshi has been honored with the “TRAB Award 2024” for Best Playwright, organized by the Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB).
On Saturday, November 23, the 25th TRAB Award 2024 ceremony was held at a hotel in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, where Arpona Rani Rajbongshi received this prestigious accolade. Her telefilm “piriter professor” was highly acclaimed by both the audience and the judges for its compelling story, earning her the award for Best Playwright.
Prominent personalities graced the event, including Syed Magurb Morshed, former Secretary of Information; Bir Muktijoddha Mir Hasmat Ali, Justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court; Dr. Jahangir Alam Rustam, an eminent environmental scientist and world-renowned poet; Kamrul Hasan Darpan, President of BACHSAS; and Shafiqul Rahman, Chairman of BBN News, among others.
The award for Best Playwright was presented to Arpona Rani Rajbongshi by acclaimed film personality Kazi Hayat, Syed Magurb Morshed, and Mir Hasmat Ali.
In her acceptance speech, Arpona Rani Rajbongshi expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guests and conveyed her heartfelt thanks. She remarked, “For those of us who write or produce dramas, it is always a dream to see our work recognized. This award sharpens the journey of that dream and will serve as inspiration for future endeavors.”
