Amãna Bank’s Education Finance wins Gold for Best Product

Amãna Bank continued to be recognized for its innovative capabilities, when the Bank’s Education Finance facility was recently adjudicated the Gold Award for Best Islamic Finance Product at the Sri Lanka Islamic Banking & Finance Industry (SLIBFI) Awards 2017. Prior to this award, the Bank’s Gold Certificate Financing facility, Savings Plan Account and Flexi Term Investment Account have been recognized both locally and globally for product innovation.

Based on the non-interest based concept of Service Ijarah, Amãna Bank’s Education financing solution allows customers to obtain financing for tertiary education purposes. Through the Education Finance solution customers can obtain financing for pursuance of University Grant Commission (UGC) approved Diploma, Degree and Masters courses as well as Professional qualification courses such as CIMA, CIM, ABE, CMA, SLIM etc.

Commenting on this accolade the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Azmeer said “The Bank’s Education Finance solution was introduced to cater to the needs of thousands of students who find it difficult to pursue higher studies due to the high initial costs.
