Amana Bank recently participated in the Digital Payments Promotion Campaign 2025 held in Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota, under the theme “Shaping the Future through Digital Transactions.” Organized by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) in collaboration with the respective District Secretariats, the Nuwara-Eliya event was held at Greogry Lake Car Park while the Hambantota event took place at the Magam Ruhunupura Administrative Complex. Both events were graced by CBSL Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe along with other senior officials from the Central Bank. The events witnessed the participation of government officials, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and members of the general public.

These awareness campaigns are the first in a series of initiatives by CBSL, aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital banking and payments island-wide, aligning with the broader strategy of the Government and CBSL to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth through digitalization.

During the campaign events, Amana Bank showcased its digital banking solutions, including the Your Bank online banking app, video KYC enabled Online Account Opening platform and WhatsApp Banking services while also facilitating customer registrations for its digital platforms.
