Advantis – Engineering Successfully Delivers Cutting-Edge Container Freight Station for Aitken Spence Logistics

Advantis – Engineering, successfully completed the construction of a state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. Container Freight Station (CFS) for Aitken Spence Logistics.

Strategically located in the heart of Aitken Spence’s premier logistics complex in Mabola, Wattala, the impressive new facility showcases the sophisticated capabilities of Advantis – Engineering, which served as the primary contractor overseeing the entire project from end-to-end, including seamless coordination and integration across all construction phases.

 



 

Reflecting on the collaboration, Aitken Spence praised Advantis – Engineering for its dedication to quality and efficiency. “Their commitment to meeting strict timelines with high-quality service exceeded our expectations. The Company’s professionalism and expertise have earned our trust, making them our preferred partner for similar projects in the future.” said Janaka Gunawardene, Chief Executive Officer of Aitken Spence Logistics.

The Unit undertook a comprehensive scope of work in the construction of the CFS, encompassing total civil construction, the designing of the pre-engineered steel building (PESB), fabrication, supply, and erection, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installations, aluminium installations, as well as external landscaping.

Notably, with the utilisation of PESB technology, Advantis – Engineering enabled swift, cost-effective, and quality-assured construction methods, significantly expediting project completion compared to traditional methods, and enabling the project to be completed ahead of schedule.

The successful completion of the project was achieved under the seamless collaboration between the renowned architecture firm, Mihindu Keerthiratne Associates (MKA) and structural engineering company, STEMS Consultants (PTE) Ltd.
