Advantis 3PL Plus unveils phase 2 of Advantis Logistics City

Strengthening Sri Lanka’s positioning as a global logistics hub, Advantis 3PL Plus, a member of the Hayleys Advantis Group, added 121,000 square feet of warehousing space to its mega distribution centre, Advantis Logistics City (ALC) housed in Ekala, Ja- Ela, making it the largest warehouse in Sri Lanka.

With this expansion, the total footprint of the ALC facility surpassed over 450,000 square feet, the equivalent of eight American Football fields. This makes ALC the largest, most technologically sophisticated distribution hub of its kind in Sri Lanka. Today, the Hayleys Advantis group operates over 3.5 million square feet of total warehousing space, both locally and regionally.

Hayleys PLC Chairman and Chief Executive – Mohan Pandithage, Hayleys PLC Executive Director and Hayleys Advantis Managing Director – Ruwan Waidyaratne, Hayleys Advantis Deputy Managing Director- Dr. Asanka Ratnayake, Group Management Committee Member of Hayleys Advantis – Sheran Abeysundere, Head of Advantis 3PL Sri Lanka- Dharshana Wijemanne and Board of Investment Sri Lanka Executive Director – Zones, Lowrence Madapatha ceremonially unveiled the new wing.

We believe that our investment in expanding the capabilities of Advantis Logistics City is of national significance. It is a testament to our confidence in the nation’s ability to recover and an essential step to revitalising our economy,” Hayleys PLC Chairman and Chief Executive, MohanPandithage said, addressing the gathering.

“It is with great pride that we open the new state-of-the-art facility, Advantis Logistics City, which consolidates a significant amount of our operations at a single location, strengthening our capabilities and optimising our service capacity, speed and value to our customers,” Hayleys PLC Board Director and Hayleys Advantis Managing Director, Ruwan Waidyaratne said.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, BOI Executive Director – Zones Lowrence Madapatha stated that investments of this scale are essential towards economic growth. “The expansion of ALC has firmly established Sri Lanka as a regional heavyweight in the industry. As such, I am delighted to share this special occasion with the Advantis team”
