Colombo, Saturday 16th December 2023: In a spectacular celebration of time-honoured Christmas traditions, Cinnamon Grand Colombo proudly presented the unveiling of the city of Colombo’s largest Yule Log ever, measuring an impressive 300 feet and weighing 300 kg.
On the morning of Saturday, December 16th, guests, friends, and well-wishers gathered for the official ceremony presided over by Area Vice President – Cinnamon Colombo Hotels and General Manager – Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Kamal Munasinghe, along with Executive Chef – Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Kapila Jayasinghe.

Our team of award-winning chefs dedicated over a week to crafting this unique masterpiece, and we are thrilled to share the joy of its unveiling with our guests,” remarked Munasinghe.
The 300-foot-long Chocolate Sponge log pays homage to the traditional French creation known as Bûche De Noël (Yule Log). Following the unveiling, the log was meticulously divided into individual blocks, each measuring 1 foot and weighing 1 kg. Limited quantities of these exclusive Yule Log blocks are available for purchase at 3900 LKR each at Coffee Stop for those looking to own a slice of this historic creation and add a touch of grandeur to their Christmas tables.
