Sri Lanka Badminton Regional Development Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, and the Ministry of Education, opens its doors for applications from tutors from across the country. This initiative aims to bolster the “Shuttle Time” program, designed to introduce the sport to school children across the nation.

Under the patronage of the World Badminton Federation and currently active in 140 countries worldwide, the Shuttle Time program has recognized Sri Lanka as a trailblazer, making it the sole nation to implement badminton comprehensively across the country.

To bring this program to life, the Regional Development Committee seeks to recruit two dedicated tutors from each District. These chosen coaches will play a pivotal role in training teachers and inspiring young badminton enthusiasts in schools across the country.

Applications from qualified and passionate tutors are now being welcomed, with the application window set to close on the 20th of this month. The programme is aimed at contributing to the development of young talents and the growth of badminton at the grassroots level.
