Dr. Shantha Bandara, the Founder of the Skill Development and Training International Institute (SDTI Campus), was honoured with the ‘Outstanding Executive Leadership in Education Industry’ Award at the Commonwealth Awards recently held in Singapore. He is delivering a great service to thousands of students through his excellent leadership and guidance, and has received many local and international awards. Among them are the Prime Minister’s Award for Outstanding Leadership and ‘Keerthi Sri Deshbandhu’, ‘Samaaja Sevashuri’ and ‘Vyaapaara Vibhushana’. Dr. Bandara, who has studied many higher diplomas including Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Philosophy and Management, Master of Laws (LLM) and Bachelor of Law (LLB) degrees, Counseling Psychology, is also a student at the Sri Lanka Law College (SLLC).
“If one can, engage in good deeds for the good of others, show mercy and wish good to even those who hurt them, do their work honestly and well, be grateful to parents, teachers and nature, the success will follow them.” said Dr. Bandara. SDTI Campus, in collaboration with international universities with International Standards Organisation (ISO) certifications, and in affiliation with the Skill Development Fund under the Ministry of Education, offers higher education courses, diplomas, degrees, post-graduate degrees, Ph.D and Master’s degrees. The courses are conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages. The study programmes offered by the SDTI Campus are recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The students have been facilitated to study while working, and obtain loans provided by the State banks at minimum interest rates.
