The People’s Republic of Bangladesh will host Senior Officials Meeting on D-8 Youth and the D-8 Youth Ministerial Meetings on 16-17 May, 2023 in Dhaka.
Thursday on 13 April 2023, the State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Md. Shahriar Alam, MP, along with Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, State Minister of the Ministry of the Youth and Sports launched the official website of the D-8 Youth Ministerial Meeting, Senior Officials’ Meeting and the Youth Conference 2023 which is scheduled to take place in Dhaka from 15-18 May 2023.
While speaking as the Chief guest at the event, the State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Md. Shahriar Alam, MP, put emphasis on youth’s participation in the decision making process and importance of utilizing their potentials to address the pressing global issues. On the margin of the Ministerial meeting and the Senior Official Meeting, hundreds of youth delegates from the D-8 member states will join in four thematic parallel sessions of the Youth Conference.
Bangladesh is hosting the meetings as the current Chair of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, an organization which was established in 1997 with an aim to strengthen economic cooperation among the Eight Developing Countries.
