Surado Campus of Business Management, a leading, privately led vocational training institution for local and foreign employment in Sri Lanka, was recently honoured with the prestigious Exceptional Award of Excellence of the Year. The award was presented to P. S. R. Buddhika, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Surado Campus of Business Management by Hon. Ali Sabry, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony, held at the Organisation of Professional Association (OPA) Auditorium, was organised by the Ambassadors’ Forum of Sri Lanka to commemorate the launch of the latest volume in the series by Sarath Wijesinghe, President’s Counsel, former Ambassador to Israel and the UAE entitled “Foreign Policy Perspectives Volume 8 – Human Rights Development and New World Order 22/25”.
Commenting on the achievement, P.S.R.Buddhika, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Surado Campus of Business Management, said, “We are extremely honoured to be recognised by the Ambassadors Forum of Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, we cater for the demand for professional caregiving in the health sector industry. Caregiving has become one of the most lucrative avenues within the health care industry. Many individuals in Sri Lanka, regardless of their background or exposure, are known to recognise this industry as stereotypical job roles as domestic maids/workers under harsh conditions due to the lack of awareness. Thus, Surado aims to address this gap by providing such individuals with formal training and the basic skills needed to excel in this field.”
Established in 2012, Surado Campus of Business Management recently marked a decade of excellence and growth as a responsible, home-grown educational institute. For the last ten years, Surado has successfully driven a wave of new global opportunities for local students in Sri Lanka based on the worldwide caregiving market boom. Surado has opened its doors to individuals seeking foreign and local job opportunities through a quality curriculum and global partnerships with renowned universities. The organisation also won several key awards recently at some of the leading awards ceremonies including the South Asian Business Excellence Awards 2022 and The USA Excellence Awards 2022.
“Furthermore, we do not only support the country’s employment sector but also play a huge role in bringing foreign exchange to Sri Lanka. Foreign employment opportunities in the professional caregiving sector are driving a new wave of global opportunities. Surado’s well-articulated coursework, with the affiliation of some of the leading foreign universities, are paving a pathway for skilled, well-trained Sri Lankans to find job opportunities thus greatly helping to address Sri Lanka’s much-needed foreign exchange earnings,” Buddhika stated further.
With plans to expand their services to Jaffna, Matara, Colombo and Kandy, Surado Campus has strategic plans to go global with key markets like Bangladesh and the United Kingdom in mind. The organisation also holds the responsibility of representing the Bureau of Foreign Employment in Sri Lanka and overseas.
