The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently launched a Middle Management Development Programme to enhance the skills and competencies of employees in this segment and to enable them to achieve their professional growth goals. The Bank has enrolled selected Executive Officers including some from the Bank’s overseas operations, in two parallel Middle Management Development programmes offered by reputed professional and career development institutions in Sri Lanka. The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) affiliated with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and an external consultantcy run by a team of professionals dedicated to building talent, leadership, and management skills, will conduct this Middle Management Development Programme on a hybrid mode.
While the PIM will conduct a programme extending for more than two years, participating Commercial Bank Executive Officers will be provided the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through these programmes in five separate batches, the Bank said. The inauguration of the programme took place recently at the PIM auditorium with the enrolled participants and members of the Bank’s Executive HR Steering Committee in attendance.
