Finding the right mechanic for your car is a concern for every vehicle owner. Now the hassle of browsing and searching on the internet is a need of the past. mymech connects reliable mechanics and vehicle owners in Sri Lanka.

This digital platform is exclusively designed to connect mechanics/ vehicles owners with adequate information regarding the services. The platform has branded mechanical services to small-time vendors, helping the owners of any vehicle brand to get consistent and quality services.

This concept was initiated by Founder, Managing Director and CEO Mohamed Afzal. He added, “mymech is digitally transforming the auto care industry in Sri Lanka with innovation. This industry is one of the most corrupt in any part of the world! Through mymech we are working towards breaking that stereotype by building trustworthiness and reliability in auto care”.

Breaking stereotypes and transforming the industry through this app Afzal stated, “When starting mymech we didn’t even have a physical office. It was a virtual company. I didn’t step into a bank when I opened my first back account”.

Finding the talent and giving a platform for it to grow is what mymech is doing. Sri Lankans are immensely talented and let it be in any industry. “I believe that every one of us has a heap of talent. In the auto care industry, we have lost highly talented workers who are living overseas, now they are great automobile engineers,” he further added.

Currently, there are more than 125 registered mechanics and garages on mymech and about 2500 vehicle owners who have obtained the service through the platform and more than 100 inquiring and visiting the platform on a daily basis. When the digital platform started in 2017, it was about digitising the overall automobile industry in Sri Lanka. The app founder personally has done extensive research on the market before building the platform.

This beta version app still has a lot to offer with progress, it hopes to reach great heights and transform the automobile industry in Sri Lanka. The app has covered the whole of Colombo, connecting vehicle owners to the nearest resourceful and trustworthy mechanics and garages. In this way, the car owner doesn’t need to travel far or complicate the process with too many options. Share the details within minutes, the app will connect you to the mechanic who will attend to your service.

“Buying a car is a dream come true. Ensuring that your achievement is in safe hands is always a hassle but with mymech it is a matter of just a few clicks. Before you start your car, make sure that you have the keys, the fuel you need and not forget that you have the mymech app on your phone. This unique auto care brand is built with the Sri Lankan identity,” Afzal concluded.
