Siyapatha Finance takes steps to support the health sector; donates essential medical equipment to hospitals across the country

 



 

 

 

As the pandemic continues to affect society at large, Siyapatha Finance PLC, one of the leading financial service providers in the country, steps forward to extend its support to the community by initiating yet another CSR project through the donation of medical care equipment to hospitals across the island.

Amidst the battle against COVID-19 that has been raging for over a year, resources of the healthcare sector have been pushed beyond its limits. Siyapatha Finance was able to identify some of these urgent requirements based on the requests forwarded by healthcare institutions and reciprocating by extending its support through the provision of ICU beds and other essential medical equipment in order to meet immediate requirements.

The company generously distributed 10 ICU beds, bed pulse oximeters, and instrumental trolleys among a total of 11 hospitals in several parts of the country. Respectively, the District General Hospital – Gampaha, District General Hospital – Kegalle, District General Hospital –Matale, District General Hospital – Vavuniya, District General Hospital – Avissawella, Divisional Hospital – Sainthamaruthu, Divisional Hospital – Ataragalle, Galgamuwa, Divisional Hospital – Katugahahena, Base Hospital – Homagama, Divisional Hospital – Walana, Weligama, and Teaching Hospital – Anuradhapura are the hospitals that benefited from this CSR initiation of Siyapatha Finance.

 

Sharing his views on this worthy contribution towards the healthcare sector of the country, Mr. Ananda Seneviratne, Managing Director of Siyapatha Finance PLC, stated, “As a responsible corporate entity, we understand how vital it is to reach out and extend our support to areas that are in dire need of aid, especially during these challenging times. The health sector has been continuously utilizing its resources beyond its limits and it is paramount that we facilitate their needs in order to enable these institutions to provide better healthcare facilities and services to society. I am very grateful and proud of the direct involvement of our very own staff in the funding and completion of this project. The entire Siyapatha Finance team came together as one to successfully complete this project. We are certain that a beneficial impact was made in assisting the battle against COVID-19, through our contribution.”

A project of this scale goes on to strengthen the infrastructure of the country’s health sector and immensely upgrades the available facilities and quality of care received by patients who are admitted with COVID-19 related symptoms and other serious ailments.
