The animated film ‘Mujib Amar Pita’ will be released on 28 September 2021 – State Minister Palak

“The country’s first animated film premiere show based on the book ‘Mujib Amar Pita‘ written by Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina will be officially inaugurated on 28 September 2021 at Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s birthday. The film will be released to the public on 1 October 2021.” The Hon’ble State Minister for ICT Division of Bangladesh Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP said this today 26 September 2021 (Sunday) at the press conference on the occasion of the technical show of the animated film ‘Mujib Amar Pita’ at the Star Cineplex in Bashundhara City Complex, Dhaka.

He also said that the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Hasan Mahmud, MP will inaugurate the animated film on 28 September 2021 as the chief guest.

The ICT Division of Bangladesh has made this animated film on the occasion of Mujib’s centenary and the golden jubilee of independence. The film has been produced in collaboration with BMIT Solutions Limited and Prolancer Studio. The film received censor clearance on 16 September 2021.

At the Press Briefing, the state minister said that it is our responsibility to convey the life story of Bangabandhu to the new generation. There is no better way to inform them than an animated film. The producers have skillfully portrayed Bangabandhu’s childhood through this animated film. He also said that no one could say better about Bangabandhu than his worthy daughter Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.

“We want to take the animation industry forward,” Palak said at the press conference. Because the market for the animation industry in the world today is 300 billion US dollars. The film will play an important role in inspiring the youth of the country in the animation film and the animation industry. He said that to enter the global animation market and make our students proficient in the animation industry, animation labs have been set up in 40 universities across the country by the ICT division. He also added that Animation labs will be set up in every university in the country to strengthen our position in the animation market.

CRI coordinator Tonmoy Ahmed, filmmaker Sohail Muhammad Rana and other members of the organizing team were present at the press conference.
