Emirates unveils 48-hour Super Sale with discounts of up to 20%

Super-Sale---Dec-2019

Whoever said “opportunity doesn’t knock twice” had not heard of Emirates, the world’s leading airline, which has just unveiled another opportunity for travellers in Sri Lanka to see the world at a significant saving in cost.

A two-day Super Sale in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 3rd and Wednesday 4th December offers Economy, Business and First Class travellers a chance to purchase tickets for travel with Emirates to popular destinations at up to 20 per cent less than standard fares.

Embracing the spirit of giving associated with the festive season, these special fares will be valid for travel between 13th January and 30th November 2020, enabling travellers to save on their air travel.

Economy Class fares start at US$ 241 inclusive of taxes (about Rs 43,640 at current exchange rates) to Malé, US$ 342 (Rs 61,920) to Dubai, US$ 493 (Rs 89,260) to Milan, US$ 509 (Rs 92,160) to Rome, US$ 646 (Rs 116,960) to Zurich, US$ 705 (Rs 127,650) to London Heathrow and US$ 732 (Rs 132,530) to Barcelona.

All-inclusive Business Class fares start at US$ 545 (Rs 98,680) to Malé, US$ 1,046 (Rs 189,380) to Dubai, US$ 1,797 (Rs 325,350) to Nairobi, US$ 2,212 (Rs 400,490) to Rome, US$ 2,270 (Rs 411,000) to Paris, and US$ 2,524 (Rs 456,980) to Johannesburg.

For the first time, Emirates’ Super Sale will also be extended to First Class passengers, with all inclusive fares starting at US$ 726 (Rs 131,446) to Malé, US$ 1,687 (Rs 305,440) to Dubai, US$ 2,744 (Rs 496,810) to Nairobi, US$ 3,463 (Rs 626,980) to Rome, US$ 3,511 (Rs 635,670) to Frankfurt, and US$ 3,614 (Rs 654,320) to Zurich.

“For leisure travelers, the Super Sale can be thought of as an early New Year’s gift to oneself or a loved one, and it also presents an opportunity for students as well as business travellers to save on their travel costs in 2020 by booking early,” said Chandana de Silva, Emirates Area Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives. “With volatile exchange rates, fuel price fluctuations and demand impacting fares, we are offering a way to plan ahead and be ahead of the game.”

Members of Emirates Skywards, the airline’s award-winning loyalty programme, can pay for bookings using a combination of cash and Skywards Miles, further reducing the cost of the ticket.

Passengers in all cabin classes enjoy the friendly service from Emirates’ multicultural cabin crew, meals prepared by gourmet chefs, and more than 4,500 channels of movies, TV programmes, music and podcasts, including channels in Sinhala and Tamil on ice, the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system.

Emirates has been serving Sri Lanka since April 1986 and currently operates four flights a day from Colombo to Dubai, offering convenient connections to 159 destinations on six continents.
