Cricket fever is in the air! And regardless of the outcome in the World Cup, Sri Lankans never give up on our love for the game. Sri Lanka’s largest digital signage provider ATOM Technologies is bringing the much-loved sport closer to all cricket enthusiasts with the launch of the “ATOM Fantasy Cricket Simulator” for the first-time in the country at the Colombo City Center (CCC). The launch of the simulator took place today (04th), at the CCC Lobby under the patronage of State Minister of Finance, Eran Wickramaratne, who himself is a former cricketer and ardent fan. Several former Sri Lankan national caps including Romesh “Kalu” Kaluwitharana was also present.

Speaking at the launch Minister Wickramaratne noted, “Whenever Sri Lanka has needed a reason to come together and celebrate as a nation, cricket has been our go-to place. Differences do not matter to us when we cheer on our Lions together as a nation. Cricket is in our blood and I’m very happy to be here as ATOM gives fans a real-life opportunity to enjoy their favourite sport”.

The Fantasy Cricket Simulator uses international spin and fast bowlers on a digital screen and players are required to face the spin wizards and speedsters at their very best. Graphical score board displays, video replay systems and even live international commentary make the experience all the more realistic. The simulator is equipped by automated machines which can emulate speeds up to 165kmph with specialty variations like Inswing, Outswing and Yorkers adding more fun to the game, deceiving players with deliveries which they might have never experienced before.

Also speaking at the launch ATOM’s Vinoth Thevamani said, “ATOM has strived to bring the very best in digital entertainment to Sri Lanka. Our signage business and outdoor LED network that is dotted across the nation has made us a household name in a span of a few short years. The launch today takes us to the next level of pioneering digital-based entertainment solutions in Sri Lanka as well”.

ATOM is a 100% Sri Lankan owned and operated company providing electronic signage and visual services for the last 15 years. Its extensive range of LED/LCD products focused heavily on Giant Screen and Video Wall installations can be seen around the city as well as at key shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, tourist’s sites and many more locations. Much of the content on these screens are remotely managed through ATOM’s own in-house technology developed by a highly-skilled team of digital and electrical technicians.

“We are excited to have ATOM Media, our digital advertising partner, to launch Sri Lanks’s first ever cricket simulator at Colombo City Centre. We would like to bring what every Sri Lankan would cherish – Cricket and give a platform to them to show off their batting skills”, Chief Executive Officer of CCC Sandeep Subramanya said.

ATOM has also recently diversified into Digital Brand Activations, Event Management, Software Development and Virtual Reality experiences to engage the customers with the product. ATOM hopes to extend their footprint in the digital space with innovative software development that suits the consumer’s ever-changing needs.

The Fantasy Cricket Simulator will be in operation at CCC, from 4th July to 21st July 2019. For more information please contact Angelo on 0771 508 293.
