ComBank donates 181st IT Lab to School of Artillery in Minneriya

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has set up a fully-equipped and furnished IT lab at the School of Artillery of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) Regiment at Minneriya, the 181st such IT Lab donated under a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to raise national computer literacy levels.

This donation was made with the objective of introducing ICT courses to improve the soft skills of students of this School which conducts training programmes for some 750 officers, other ranks of the Artillery Regiment, and special operations teams such as Commandos and Special Forces, including infantry troops.

The IT lab was set up by the Bank in two of the classrooms dedicated to IT-related courses, and comprised of 10 computers, a printer and the necessary tables, chairs and electrical and networking systems.
