The Young Chartered Accountants Forum (YCAF) recently accorded a grand welcome to the newly qualified Chartered Accountants of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) with a back to the 80’s themed party titled ‘Dust off your cassettes and tease up your hair, It is a 80’s party.’

The fun filled event saw both new and old members attired in bright colored costumes and retro glasses which took everyone back in time to feel the 80’s groove. The Music did not disappoint as it created the mood for the retro era and disco dancing. The young members indulged themselves in exciting games and a variety of gifts were awarded to the winners.

The chief guest of the event was Mr. Jagath Perera, President of CA Sri Lanka, who in his speech urged the young members to contribute towards the success of the institute while endeavoring to enhance the public image of Chartered Accountants. Speaking at the event, YCAF President Ms. Jani Ganeshan congratulated the new members and emphasized the importance of interacting more with senior members and learn from their experience for career progression.

The annual tradition of welcoming the newly qualified members of CA Sri Lanka is the most awaited event in the YCAF calendar.
